Concert Review - AN ENCOUNTER OF TWO WORLDS
An evening of mostly popular music performed by the trio Triangulo ended with audiences filled with enthusiasm. The trio played brilliantly and colorfully, the rhythm was lively and electrifying. Everything was spiced with the witty ideas and charming sentimentality that is often associated with kitsch. A demanding listener could become bored by such a combination but the trio handles it's material with strong dynamic contrasts, sudden turns, jazz inserts, exotic keys and so on. Instead of the legendary clarinetist Paquito D'Rivera, we had the opportunity to hear the flutist Marco Granados. The audiences were amazed, since listening to this instrumentalist is a rare and great pleasure. With his virtuosity and technique - which is perfect - he could have flown beyond the frame of the ensemble program direction. Every single interpreter played with incredible liveliness, and with extraordinary joy and naturalness

Recital Review of New York Flute Club performance November, 2004
"...I heard a program of about the best flute playing I have ever heard. I think Marco Granados has to be one of the most exciting players on the scene now. He plays with unbelievable technical virtuosity. I have a couple of his CD's and when I loan them to friends, I advise them to fasten their seat belts! But what really blew me away at last nights' recital was the beautiful lyricism of the slow pieces he played. Gorgeous tone and flexibility in tone color throughout the whole range of the flute. It was a fabulous program. I hope I get more opportunities to hear him in live performance."

Comment by Michael Parloff, Former Principal Flute of the MET Opera Orchestra
"I finally got around to listening to "Sunflute," and it was well worth the wait: lots of exuberant, exhilarating material there! You sound wonderfully at home and at ease in this music, and I particularly enjoyed the upbeat, virtuosic pieces, such as the opening tune on the album, "Venezuelan Potpourri". (There's one a little later on, an exciting, rapid-fire perpetual motion number for flute and drums called "The Flight of the Fly," where you must be breathing through your ears...) Wonderful playing and selections!"

Review of "Music of Venezuela" CD
This is music to take you away to another world and even though it is face paced it still has a calming spiritual effect upon your senses, as if he were the pied piper of Latin America inviting you to take a vacation while you experience everything that happens visually through his looking glass of music.

Review of "Amanecer" CD by The Flute List
"This is some of the most exciting and beautiful flute music that I have ever heard. Many list members said wonderful things about Marco's playing after the Chicago convention and his great CD was mentioned often on the list. I would just like to add my personal words of praise for this terrific recording. My exposure to the musical style of South America has been limited but that will most certainly be corrected. Marco's tone is more than beautiful, his technical dexterity is amazing, and the music is charged with incredibly positive energy. This a recording that I would strongly recommend to all flute players"
